ApeSwap Begins Stage II UI Meta-Morphosis with First Update

The building blocks of stage II UI Meta-Morphosis will be the backbone of many upcoming updates on ApeSwap.

Stage II UI Metamorphosis Arrives with Island Mode

ApeSwap has commenced its stage II UI Meta-Morphosis. The protocol looks to rebrand its User Interface (UI) for a better experience in the industry and add much-needed changes to its frontend. The multi-chain Decentralized Exchange (DEX) kick-started the UI phase by introducing the “Island mode.”

ApeSwap disclosed on January 22 via Medium that it would roll out UI updates in three stages, focusing on trading and offerings, staking, and landing experience. Since then, the protocol has been implementing new updates and is now in the second stage, beginning with launching the Island mode—a dark mode of the website’s front page.

“First update of our stage II UI Meta-Morphosis has arrived! Island mode NOW available!” ApeSwap announced the first update of the new phase via Twitter on March 3.

The protocol launched the innovation to improve users’ experience with a strategy to apply uniformity, clarity, and a distinct look & feel to the website. As stated earlier, the upgrades would be issued in three stages, each containing three updates. Essentially, ApeSwap would implement nine updates to its platform in the coming months.

Stage I focused on three UI updates for its DEX, Initial Ape Offerings (IAO), and $GHANA pages. The second stage has taken full swing with the Island mode. Moving forward, ApeSwap will roll out two more updates before progressing to the third stage of UI Meta-Morphosis.

Outstanding Website Experience

During a conversation with BSC News, ApeSwap’s CMO and Creative Director, Rafiki, explained the second phase of the innovation. According to the Director’s statement, the second stage is focused on creating an outstanding website experience for users of the DEX. Rafiki also added that the second stage is the backbone of the protocol’s forthcoming updates.

“The second phase of our UI metamorphosis is going to bring the largest changes to our frontend since we started ApeSwap. We are not only placing a greater emphasis on simplicity and intuitiveness, we are also creating a more pleasurable site experience. As we continue to construct our DeFi hub, the building blocks of phase II will be the backbone of many of our upcoming updates,” Rafiki stated.

The Island mode offers a unique feel to the protocol’s frontend colors. ApeSwap made the update to add beauty to the website, attracting visitors in the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) space.

“Island mode is strictly an aesthetic update. We felt the white and brown were too plain and wanted to bring a more vibey island feel to light version of our site. While landing the colors took time, this type of update is much less labor intensive than most of our updates. I myself have switched from night mode back to what we are now referring to as island mode,” Rafiki added.
