Defending Lunacia
One of the first twelve projects accepted into Axie Infinity’s builder’s program is Defenders of Lunacian Land (DoLL).
DoLL is building its game using the NFT assets of popular PlayAndEarn blockchain game, Axie Infinity. Released for early access on July 29, the community built game is one of the first of the builder’s program that are currently available for live play along with Across Lunacia.
DoLL’s gameplay is similar to that of Vampire Survivors, where players aim to survive multiple waves of enemies by using the skills they gain as they level up. Opponents drop crystals which players gather in order to gain EXP to level up their skills. Not all Axie parts have been integrated to the game. The early access version allows you to select from a pool of 50 skills currently encoded. Play lasts as long as players have shields remaining. Shields can be acquired by participating in giveaways from the team.
Those whitelisted for early access to the game can register their axie team through DoLL’s website after connecting their Ronin wallet and creating an account. A total of three Axies are needed in order to participate. The DoLL team, and various other community members, have been giving away early access passes to the game.
What is Axie Infinity:
Axie Infinity is a PlayAndEarn blockchain game where players breed, collect, and play with digital pets called Axies and earn from the interactions. It’s built on Ronin, an Ethereum-based side-chain developed by Vietnamese-based gaming studio Sky Mavis. The protocol put eyes on the PlayAndEarn gaming industry back in 2021. In addition, the team is building a digital nation where each community member comes together to play, earn, and live in Lunacia.
