Automated Vaults Finally Arrive
After much anticipation and huge hype around social media, Alpaca Finance has finally launched its Automated Vaults feature. The new feature, which promises to run complex strategies for users to maximize their yield, arrived with a high Annual Percentage Yield (APY).
As stated in our previous article about Automated Vaults, the leveraged yield farming platform plans to launch different products. The first Automated Vaults product will utilize the Market-Neutral strategy, providing high APYs while reducing risks of all market conditions. Market-Neutral Vault is a product with a distinctive strategy on the Alpaca Finance ecosystem. The product ensures that users earn profit at high APYs irrespective of market volatility. Alpaca’s Automated Vaults page explains how the strategy works.
“Our first product is the market neutral vault. This vault will provide high APYs, at hedged-neutral market risk, which means it will be profitable in all market conditions. It reduces market risk by farming long & short positions simultaneously, and rebalancing them for you to maintain neutral exposure,” the page reads.
Only two vaults are active on Alpaca’s Automated Vaults page: One 8x Market-Neutral Vault and a 3x Market-Neutral Vault. Users who invest in each of the vaults stand a chance to earn high APYs. However, rewards depend on the Total Value Locked (TVL). For instance, the 8x vault launched with a high APY of 86% but has dropped under 24 hours due to the increase in TVL.
