AMA with Afen

Do I have the team member of Afen here already? Please signify by saying Hello.

Debbie Afen: Hello Lola

Lola(AMA HOST): Hi Debbie!

How’re you doing today?

Debbie Afen: I’m honoured to be here with you today

I am well. Thank you

Lola(AMA HOST): Glad to have you  on board.

We have two sessions.

The first session has started already. The group will be unlocked during the second session so the Community can drop their questions.

You’ll be able to answer just 4 questions from the Community’s

Debbie Afen: Okay Lola, noted

Lola(AMA HOST): Great.

Q1. Can you give us a general introduction of you and Afen? Could you tell us your role in the project?

Debbie Afen:

In previous AMAs I have recited what AFEN is in the usual words available all over the internet. But here’s something I’ve not said…

AFEN represents a belief in the good that can come out of AFRICA

We are very much aware of the shortcomings within the society in which we operate but are ready more than ever to let the world know that bright minds and projects can come out of Africa.

That being said, AFEN is the first government backed NFT initiative seeking to digitize African arts, Real Estate and Education through blockchain technology on the Binance smart chain.

My role; I am a member of the AFEN team and founder of this project

Lola(AMA HOST): Wow! This is really Amazing. Keep it up.

How’s been the experience so far in Afen?

Debbie Afen: Thank you Lola

Our footprints since launch have been fantastic.  We are fast developing and certain that we will continue to put Africa on the map

Lola(AMA HOST): My pleasure

Q2. How many team members do you have working with you? And can you also tell us their roles?

Debbie Afen: At the moment, we have 10 core team members working along side our partners

With roles ranging from Development, Marketing, corporate communications, Strategic partnerships to community management

Q3. Afen Blockchain focuses on Real Estate too. Can you tell us more on this?

Debbie Afen: The Real estate sector is a booming one. However, there is a long running need for innovation in the sector…

What we intend to achieve with our platform is a reduction of middleman fees and bogus paperwork, accounting for easy and trustworthy transactions .

All these will be achieved using a peer-to-peer system.

Q4. Can you tell the Community about how Afen works generally?

Debbie Afen: AFEN is built on the Binance smart chain network.

AFEN will implement core blockchain methods to facilitate the changes being brought to the three sectors of focus. Arts, Real estate and Education.

Our medium article (link.medium.com/snnvG1aB9fb) sheds more light on what AFEN aims to achieve across these sectors, and how

Q5. What are the benefits or Reward in Afen?

Debbie Afen: Our token holders can benefit from the AFEN Stake and earn program…

The AFEN art marketplace will offer a level playing ground for creatives around Africa to compete globally and enjoy true value of their art

Educators and learners on our platform can enjoy educational incentives- the AFEN learning management system will enable both educators and learners earn upon course completion on our platform

Lola(AMA HOST): Really nice. This is really different from other projects out there. Having students in mind 😊

Q6. How many Partners do you have? And what do you expect from them?

Debbie Afen: We currently have 8 strategic partners (as hosted on our website). They function in unique ways that facilitate our development process and marketing

Q7. How is the transaction fees in Afen?

Debbie Afen:

AFEN is built for faster transactions, and designed to obtain cheaper network costs on Binance Smart Chain

Q8. Can you share with our community the plans you and your project have for this year and the coming years?

Debbie Afen: Our previous Roadmap was followed to the latter, with the AFEN team staying committed to stated deliverables.

We are set to launch the AFEN Art Marketplace in June. Our recent endorsement makes AFEN the sole market for verified African Art

Our new roadmap for project development is expected to follow suit irrespective of the tasks ahead – link.medium.com/YcMMi3xC9fb

Lola(AMA HOST): Good to hear. We await that.

Debbie Afen: Thank you ☺️

Q9. What are the major challenges in Afen and how do you intend to solve them?

Debbie Afen: Some of the major challenges are:

1. Undervaluation of African arts- AFEN will provide an available marketplace with access to wider range of art lovers around the world, opening the African art market to credible investors.

2. Low knowledge of Defi and blockchain technology in Africa- This is what birthed AFEN’s decision to empower those with interest with the adequate tools to learn more about blockchain technology and DeFi. The awards upon course completion will be transferred as NFTs.

Lola(AMA HOST): That’s great. I believe you’re working towards it already

Q10. Share with us all the links about Afen, so that readers can find out more and also follow the development of the project.

Debbie Afen: You can find collection of our links here

This is updated from time to time

Q11. Lastly our favourite question, do you have any alpha or juicy news for us in BSC News today?

Debbie Afen: Oh yes! AFEN Marketplace is at Development stage… a visual teaser showcasing the marketplace features will be released this week

Also, more listing announcements in May

Lola(AMA HOST): Alpha news indeed. Great work.

It was a nice time with you Debbie😊

Debbie Afen: Thank you Lola. Thank you for having me
