A First Look Into the SafeMoonWallet Open Beta Release

The SafeMoon Wallet testnet displays a limited look into the soon-to-launch IOS app.

Extremely Anticipated Release

SafeMoon has released its apps open beta on Apple TestFlight, granting users access to a limited testnet before the official launch.

The SafeMoon team announced the launch via their official Twitter account on August 11th. The beta app allows users to test the app but it is missing key features such as the Swap and NFT functions.

“WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE #SAFEMOONWALLET IOS OPEN BETA IS LIVE! 10,000 SPACES FILLED IN UNDER A MINUTE!” Tweeted SafeMoon minutes after the beta release.

Users continue to await the hyped launch of the mainnet wallet – scheduled for August 28th, according to SafeMoon.  Upon launch, users will be able to take custody of their crypto, swap tokens, hold NFTs and utilize other tools in the app.

The app currently allows users to view their crypto token balances, access an in-app calculator, and view token data. The app collates the token data from CoinMarketCap (CMC) and adopts a similar layout to apps like TrustWallet and CMC.

What is SafeMoon

The SafeMoon protocol is a community-driven, fairly launched Decentralized Finance (DeFi) token. Three simple functions occur during each trade: Reflection, LP Acquisition, and Burn.

SafeMoon is an altcoin: a blockchain-based digital currency. It launched in March 2021 and has already racked up over 2 million users.

SafeMoon’s unique feature is that it charges a 10% fee to anyone who sells their tokens; 5% of this fee is then redistributed to all other SafeMoon owners, essentially rewarding those who hang onto their tokens and disincentivizing selling.
