Q1: What is ThunderBolt all about? Give us a little summary
Tom Kathje: ThunderBolt aims to build a robust defi ecosystem $BOLT is a deflationary token on the BSC network with a positive rebase. There are a total of 156 cycles, each cycle has a TAX amount applied to Buys, Sells, and transfer TXs. The TAX starts at 5% and scales to 12% per cycle. The fee gradually increases as 1.275M tokens are burnt. Upon successful burn of 1.275M tokens,50% of the burn amount is distributed to holders, and 50% goes to permanent burn, which is removed from the total supply. The cycle then resets to 5% and the process repeats again. Holder’s earn rewards from the rebase at the conclusion of each cycle, there is no need to interact with a smart contract for rebasing rewards, it’s automated by contract and sent to $BOLT holders. The project is very new, launched approximately 2 weeks ago.
Q2: Could you tell us about yourself? Why did you and your team decide to build ThunderBolt?
Tom Kathje: Absolutely, – Myself,I reside in California, been developing and building for over 9 years. Skillset: JavaScript, c++, HTML, PHP, smart contracts (5 years javascript) . Past experience is building dapps on IOST and EOS networks, I started developing on ethereum blockchain recently. My self, Peter(Web developer) and Holder(Danny) – Advisor is huge fans of deflationary mechanics. Initially, we were going to introduce the project on ETH network, but due to high gas fees and ETH scalability issues, it was not sustainable. BSC (low fees) is perfect for our vision, Staking dapps along with fun engagement gaming dapps to increase the usability of $BOLT will be our priority. I think we have the perfect mix of talent and skillset, as each of us brings different qualities to the project. The Pre-sale and launch was a success, we are currently sitting 6-7X above our pre-sale price, thanks to the aggressive marketing and early adoption of $BOLT token.

Q3: Let’s dive into your token $BOLT. Can you share with us your tokenomics?
Tom Kathje: Sure, Total Initial supply: 100M $BOLT (deflationary)
Current Total Supply: Approximately: 84,787,623.581524 BOLT
Dev wallet initially owned 28M tokens which has been burnt and airdropped, lowered to 14M $BOLT
We plan on doing further burn events to reduce the wallet holding to 10M $BOLT upon this, we will divide the wallets and label them as Development, dapps allocation, and marketing wallets.
The tokenomics of $BOLT are in favor of holders, to date all marketing costs have been paid out of team’s pocket in BNB.
I understand in the long run we may need to sell a portion of the tokens to help with marketing costs, transparency is key and we’ll make sure to make all transactions public.
Q4: The deflationary mechanism was great! Can you also share with us some of $BOLT use cases?
Tom Kathje: As $BOLT is a deflationary token with elastic supply and positive rebase, simply by holding $BOLT in your wallet, holders can earn a great passive income as rewards are distributed to your wallet’s end of each cycle. We are currently working on DAPPs to further increase the usability and volume of the token. Stay tuned for details on our upcoming dapp “Engima.” Dapps such as staking, gaming, raffles, I think collectively all these dapps will help increase the usability which will increase the total volume of transactions which ultimately helps with our cycle requirements. The more volume we have, the faster we can go through the deflationary cycles.
Q5: What marketing strategies have the team decided to use to spread awareness and promote growth and use of the project?
Tom Kathje: Marketing has been our top priority in the early stages. We understand the importance of marketing and weigh it as 1:1 with development. It’s vital to ensure we get visibility within the BSC community and continue to increase our holder count.
We have been using social media networks such as Youtube, Twitter and Reddit to raise awareness. $BOLT has been featured on 14+ youtube videos by well-known influencers. We have a massive video releasing within 24 hours by a YouTuber with over 100K subs, so we’re all looking forward to that. We have paid ads on Google, IG, and also BSC price bot on telegram. We are hitting marketing with different angles, and I expect marketing to ramp up even more as we mature.
Q6: For BOLT holders and our members who are following this AMA, what can we expect in the next 3 months and in 2021 as a whole?
Tom Kathje: We promise to deliver a robust defi ecosystem. Staking dapp, gaming dapps, and entertainment dapps will be our focus to increase the usability of $BOLT. In short term, we’ll be releasing our Engima dapp with dashboard 2.0. In the future, later in the year, we plan to introduce more dapps such as a launchpad for BSC tokens, escrow services, P2P payments portal. All our dapps will be web3 compatible. Stay tuned for more info, we will be releasing our Litepaper very soon and updating our roadmap with more details. As developments continue, the deflationary cycles will continue to run. Holders can reap benefits by simply holding $BOLT tokens in their wallets and earn passive income from the rebases. Holders will always be rewarded.
