$250 Million Creator Fund Launched by Ripple for NFT Growth

Ripple is looking to explore new cases for NFTs through the ‘Creator Fund.’

Funding Innovation

$250 million has been set aside by Ripple as a commitment to enable creators to participate in its latest drive for innovation.

Ripple announced on September 29th through its official webpage and urged all creators— from musicians and artists to performers and athletes— who want to create innovative experiences and open revenue streams to apply.

“Calling all creators, developers and brands — @Ripple is launching a $250M Creator Fund!” CEO of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse tweeted the call out.

The soaring success enjoyed by NFTs has likely made an important impression on the team at Ripple, who will see this as their chance to muscle in.

Ripple has explained that there are three important features of the fund. The first is that technical support will be offered to integrate with XRPL and build the ‘best-in-class NFT experiences.’ The second feature will see marketing and promotion responsibilities shared between creators and Ripple to maximize efforts. And the final, fairly obvious feature is that access to XRPL marketplace partners will be made available.

Who is Ripple After and How to Apply

Creators and brands from all avenues are welcome, according to Ripple. Whether it be musicians, artists, performers, or athletes, Ripple is offering their hand out to talented individuals to come forward.

Agencies have also been put on notice as Ripple explained that creative and talent management agencies seeking to provide clients a low-risk way to experiment and promote NFTs, should certainly come forward.

Finally, marketplaces and innovators within them looking to integrate with the XRP ledger have also been singled out. Ripple states it offers the chance to bring top talent to their platforms and deliver a seamless NFT experience for prospective developers.

Prospective creators can lodge their applications here, where they will be asked a series of questions and asked to confirm their relevant social media handles, before verifying their respective skillset and showing why they should be chosen.
