A mystic land item is up for grabs to the lucky trainer to breed the ten millionth Axie.

Popular Ethereum based Play to Earn NFT project Axie Infinity is closing in on having ten million Axies being born and will c this milestone with a breeding event.
ProgrammaticallyPull, the team’s Ecosystem Support Director, announced through Discord on November 24 that a special breeding event to reward the lucky trainer to breed the ten millionth Axie. A Tanuki Mystic land item, a rare NFT to be used when they launch the land gameplay, is up for grabs to the winner of the event.
“Hey Trainers, we have some very exciting news! In the upcoming days, the ten millionth Axie will be born. We want to celebrate with a Breeding event. The trainer who breeds the ten millionth Axie will win a Tanuki Mystic land item,” ProgrammaticallyPull shared through Discord.
Though land gameplay has not yet been released, the Tanuki mystic land item will surely be a hot commodity within the Axie Infinity metaverse. It increases the base stat of Axies with Japanese body parts by 10% and increases the Chimera drop rate by 5%. As of writing, the floor price of a mystic land item is 2.2 ETH, while the only other Tanuki mystic land item is being sold for 100 ETH.
Word Of Caution
According to the terms of service, trainers are allowed to automate breeding when no breeding event is underway. The latter half of that clause was added because of a botting issue where the one-millionth Axie was born automatically.
“Any violation of the TOS will result in all Axies in the offending account and connected accounts being banned and the trainer being disqualified from the event. Please review our TOS at axieinfinity.com/terms prior to the Breeding event,” ProgramaticallyPull warned.
The Axie team will inform everyone of the new breeding event a week before its start. The announcement from the team served as a warning already to turn off all automation with regards to breeding.
