Shiba Inu’s Metaverse is Imminent
The highly anticipated Shibarium metaverse of iconic altcoin, Shiba Inu, is nearing its unveiling to the SHIBArmy crypto community, going by recent hints from Shytoshi Kusama – a top member of Shiba Inu’s community.
The latest pointers to the imminent launch of the Shibarium Metaverse came in Shytoshi Kusama’s SHIB Update 5.10 on May 10. In the update, Shytoshi affirmed that much progress has been made in the development of the Shibarium. He reckons the metaverse could be launched towards the end of summer or early in the fall season, which tentatively may be between August and October. Before now, the Shiba Inu ecosystem has been making moves towards setting up the Shibarium metaverse. On April 13, Shiba Inu began the auction of virtual plots of its metaverse to holders of the $LEASH and $SHIBOSHI ecosystem tokens who met the requirements for early access. Then on April 23, the public sale of the lands went live at a minimum price of 0.2 ETH each.
Shibarium’s virtual lands collection is listed on the Opensea secondary market. The project has followed up the land sales with the addition of new experienced staff to its metaverse team. Within the past week, Marcie Jastrow – with a rich background from leading the Immersive content team at Technicolor, and Sherri Cuono – a highly proficient creative technologist, joined the team to bolster its talented capacity:
