The BNB Chain NFT community has already been lauded for its togetherness, but today we consider the story of a user who saw his modest investment soar due to minting a PixelSweeper.
Life-Changing Mint
Every now and then, the crypto space serves up a heartwarming narrative that sees a worthy candidate pick up a huge reward for a genuine project they believe in. After a tough week in crypto rife with losses due to the Terra fiasco, BSC News is glad to bring you something more positive.
PixelSweeper has served up just the narrative. As their hugely successful mint got underway, a crypto user, @CryptoJones2011, was just beginning his journey in early 2021 and had the trading bruises to prove it, losing almost 90% of his investments after getting in on a high. But this crypto narrative has a positive twist. After embracing the Binance community, CryptoJones, current Community Manager for Oddblox, began to network and made his mark as a community leader, helping others in the space understand more about what they were investing in.
“I learnt about bsc and found a project called turbo tron, as CryptoBethany tweeted about it. I Invested, low and behold, the devs left the project for dust and were never to be seen again. I saw some community members rally together to try and save the project. @Rare_Ed@vpcrpt stepped up. I thought I would love to help people, I asked to be a part of the project, and then boom, that’s how I started learning about marketing and leading communities and met my best crypto friend, @222DMX222.” CryptoJones shared with BSC News. “I have made a few mistakes, but oh my, I have learnt a lot. Anyway, that project fell through even though we fought hard for it. I then started helping other projects and involving myself heavily in the BSC community on TG and Twitter. I realized this was where my home was, and I wasn’t going anywhere. I want to help build a great fun and safe space for everyone.”
The young father of two was fully involved in the NFT space on BNB Chain at this point and was seamlessly navigating the space, all the while contending the responsibilities he had on his shoulders. However, after months of communicating important information about upcoming projects, his determination and goodwill were about to pay off. He shared more with BSC News:
“I was all over the NFT space. I felt like a kid in Cadbury land. I was hyped, full of energy, and jumped into all the big projects. Then onto PixelSweeper; what can I say? I bought in at mint, and I had picked up around 10. I thought, let’s pick up just one more, so I did, and upon reveal, I noticed I had RS + S rank 1. I thought, well, with the Binance reveal, I’m sure this will drop; nope, the rarity stayed number 1. I couldn’t believe my luck; I was going to hold onto it, but I had an offer of 30 BNB; the buyer messaged me and said is this too low, I said yes. We talked a little, and they changed it to 35.1 BNB, and there it was $14,000 from investing just $100.”
Just like that, the young father had managed to 140x his initial investment in the mint of PixelSweeper 6673, which is pictured above. He reinvested a portion of the huge sum into BNB, $CAKE, and more PixelSweepers and gave away other NFTs to reward his Twitter followers. Importantly, he also paid off bills that had followed him and his family around and saw his hard work pay off. The collection may end up with a floor price and mind-blowing sales for CryptoJones, but 140x was more than enough to change his own life, and here at BSC News, we commend him for his decision.
The founder of the project also honed in on the compelling 35.1 BNB purchase:
“The individual who was fortunate enough to mint the #1 rarest PixelSweeper, Crypto Jones, sold it this week for 35.1 BNB. In February of this year, he had never invested in NFTs before. He came across one of our posts on Twitter and started following the project, and has become one of our most loyal and engaged community members.”

What is PixelSweeper:
PixelSweepers is a set of 10,000 ERC721 3D NFTs on BNB Chain. 9,500 PixelSweepers will be available for mint. In addition, 500 NFTs will be reserved for marketing and the team. The project plans to sweep the floor on different BNB Chain NFT collections and redistribute those NFTs back to PixelSweeper holders. PixelSweeper NFT holders will eventually be able to vote on which NFTs will be purchased to be added to the PixelSweeper Pots.
