StarMon Launch Delayed
The official launch of the StarMon NFT metaverse game failed to take place as scheduled.
The beta version of StarMon – one of the two games incubated by YooShi GameFi metaverse, has been out. StarMon initially planned to launch the official game early within Christmas week.
“Hi, #StarMon masters . . . The game is expected to be launched officially at the beginning of next week”, StarMon announced in a December 14 Telegram post. “Many new systems are still under development. We will open them gradually after the game is officially launched.”
The launch of many PlayToEarn projects has not reached their expected outcomes. From the likes of Binamon to Cryptomines, December has not been kind to GameFi on BSC. And with the week has almost run out, the Yooshi platform also could not keep up with its official launch as intended.
New Schedule as Holders Increase
On December 22, StarMon updated its game’s beta version and set a new timeline for the launch of its successor. According to a post on its Telegram channel, the beta version will close at 24:00 UTC on December 26 in preparation for the official launch. The community sure would hope that the team delivers this time around.
StarMon’s gaming community is increasing. This is reflected in the number of people holding the $SMON governance token. With a merry tweet the platform celebrated SMON holders reaching the 10,000 mark. However, token holders only go so far without a functioning game..
SMON has a total supply of 100million. The price of the token is $3.2 as of the time of writing, about 67% down from an all-time high of $9.76 less than a month ago. Some members of the community have complained about the sharp price drop and would hope that the token’s fortunes in the market get better soon.

StarMon stands for Star Monster. It is a 3D PlayToEarn blockchain metaverse built on Binance Smart Chain. The StarMon metaverse is a virtual world called Andres, inhabited by Starmons, that are creatures with magical superpowers. Players can capture and breed a variety of Starmons, and earn crypto assets by participating in adventures, battles etc.
$SMON is the governance token of the StarMon metaverse. Players can earn $SMON when they participate in a game scene or contribute to the StarMon ecosystem.
