1. Please introduce yourself and the team behind Earneo.

Sure,
As mentioned before, my name is Damien, I am the co-founder and CEO of Earneo.
I have always worked in IT with different companies, but more in management.
Being passionate about IT and finance, it is only natural that I turned to crypto. Unfortunately, even though I discovered Bitcoin very early, in 2011, it wasn’t until 2016 that I really jumped into the ecosystem. And my entrepreneurial side quickly pushed me to want to develop something around blockchain and crypto.
Earneo was born from that desire, during the 2018 bear market.
Ever since then, we have focused on the development of our platform Earneo.Tube, and the mobile app.
Today Earneo is still a start-up on a human scale.
We are a team of eight people, including four developers.

2. What is Earneo and what are you trying to accomplish with your platform?

So, Earneo is a video-sharing platform using crypto and blockchain, to offer a fairer reward system to all users.
With Earneo our goal is to reward everyone on the platform!
Content creators, moderators, and even viewers!
To do so, we will use the revenue generated by the advertisements, and redistribute them among all users of the platform.
In a nutshell, Earneo is like Youtube on the blockchain, where everyone can earn !

3. What kind of problems do you see on current video sharing platforms like YouTube and how can Earneo help to resolve the problem?

well, the major problem with video platforms is lack of monetization.
As you know, YouTube is the number 1 platform for content creators. To become a YouTuber who generates a decent monthly income requires you to jump over too many obstacles…1k subscribers, 4000 hours of your videos must be viewed in the last 12 months, etc., and even after that, YouTube has to accept you into their Partner Program, and you can only withdraw your earnings after accumulating $100!
If you are a new creator, it will take at least 12 months before you start earning.
With Earneo, we took a different path. Instead of keeping the revenue received from Advertisements, we will redistribute most of it to our users.
Content creators will earn 65%, moderators 3%, and viewers will get rewarded for their time with a 20% share just for doing what they usually do for free!
When the monetization feature will be fully live, content creators will be able to earn from the first video they post!

4. What are the Earneo advantages to attract the users?

I think the main advantage of Earneo is the viewers’ rewards system!
As proof, here are some figures on Earneo.
The monetization feature for viewers was launched in February 2020.
We went from 1,000 registered users in February 2020 to 96,000 today.
Our monthly traffic went from 10,000 pageviews in February 2020, to almost 4 million in December.
Our Android app has over 100k downloads on the Play Store.
With such numbers, we can clearly say that the attractiveness of our viewer reward system – WatchToEarn – is our main advantage.
In the upcoming weeks, the release of the content creator monetization feature should also bring a massive influx of new content on Earneo.Tube.

5. What is $RNO and how are they utilized on your platform?

$RNO is Earneo’s token. It’s a cross-chain token running on both the Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain. On Binance Chain mostly for the speed and cost of transfer, and more recently, on BSC to allow $RNO to extend its availability on big BSC Dex Exchanges!
$RNO is used as currency on Earneo.Tube and our mobile app. Right now you can earn $RNO by watching videos, and soon, by creating and moderating videos.
$RNO will also be used to activate certain features on the platform, like promoting your channel, creating and accessing special VIP channels to watch premium content, bypassing ads…
It will also give you some key advantages such as holding RNO on your wallet will provide you with even more rewards on the platform as a viewer, moderator and content creator!
Indeed, nothing is written in stone, and as Earneo evolves every day, our tokenomics will also evolve to always provide more use cases for our token.

Okay neat! So let’s actually talk about how to be part of Earneo because the it is something that I found to be really interesting
6. What are the qualifications to become a content creator or a moderator on Earneo? What is your verification process like?

There are no conditions to be a content creator. Do you like making videos? You just need to create an account, a channel, and upload your videos!
When the monetization feature goes live, it will of course be necessary to respect our guidelines and not upload content that might be harmful for the community (violence, adult content, etc.).
As for the moderators, a vote will be organized and the moderators will be elected or banned by the RNO holders.
The moderation will work on the same principle as a transaction validation on the blockchain.
A user will upload a video, the moderators will validate (or not) the video, and once a certain number of moderators validate the video, it will go live for the public to see.
In order to encourage moderators to always validate respectful content for the community, a ranking system will be established which will give negative points to moderators who do not respect the guideline.

Earneo’s roadmap is well loaded!
Our team is working hard to complete Earneo.Tube 2.0 which should be available by the end of the month, with a brand new design and additional functions.
RNO staking feature and the iOS app will be available in January.
For the upcoming weeks / months, we will publish:
– The Live streaming feature
– Launch of Advertisements
– The Referral Program, which is something our community is eagerly expecting and asking for,
– Launch of the Content Creator Partner Program, which will be an incentive to help content creators publish and create on Earneo.Tube,
– Launch of the moderation system
We are also working on NFTs. We have a very interesting idea to integrate Earneo and NFTs, especially NFT videos, and allow content creators to mint their videos as an NFT. It’s still in the early phase, but we will definitely come back with something during the year.
Regarding the question about our vision; we will reach 100,000 registered users in a few days (96k today), and we plan to reach 1 million this year.
We intend to become the number one blockchain based video-platform, but also the go-to platform for small creators.
We are not going to overtake Youtube, but we want to offer users and new content creators a real and credible alternative, thanks to our monetization system.
We also want to popularize access to cryptos through videos. Everyone watches videos nowadays, and most people have heard about crypto. While working on Earneo, we saw a lot of users who have never owned a crypto wallet before. RNO is their first crypto token ever, which they have earned by watching videos. We believe that, as Earneo grows and becomes more well-known, it will ultimately help with the adoption of crypto to everyday people.

8. How does monetization work on Earneo?

As mentioned, we chose to publish advertisements on Earneo, as we believe this is actually the best way to offer a decent earning for content creators.
Advertisers will publish ads on EarneoTube. With this income, we will do a buyback of RNO tokens on the Exchanges.
$RNO tokens will be used to compensate the Content creators, Viewers, and Moderators.
E.g. Over the course of a week, a video generated 10,000$ in advertising income.
Earneo will do a buyback of 8,800$ worth of RNO token.
The tokens will be distributed as following:
– 65% to the Content creators,
– 3% to Moderators
– and 20% to Viewers.
The rest is used to further develop Earneo.
Each quarter we will use a fraction of the revenue will be used to buy back tokens and burn them in order to reduce the total supply.

9. Any exciting news you would like to announce here today?

Definitively! I can share two actually.
The first is that we have fully integrated Storj Blockchain on Earneo.Tube.
For those who are unfamiliar with Storj, it’s a blockchain that allows storing data in a truly secure and decentralized way.
This means that Earneo’s video storage is actually fully decentralized.
The second, and most exciting news I can report right now is: we’re going live TOMORROW on PancakeSwap!
We focused a lot on building our platform.
Now the time has come to reward RNO holders with the ability to trade our token on a big exchange.
Pancake will help gain even more traction and awareness around Earneo.
