Q1 Let’s get to know the team more, what are your roles and how big is the team?
Aleksei Kopievskii: My name is Aleksei. I’m CEO and co-founder of DeFiPie. I’m the head team, I’m working on all marketing and business related things. Also I have CTO and co-founder – Maksim Malikov. Also we have 1 UX/UI designer and 4 developers.
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): So a side question, what got your started in crypto?
Aleksei Kopievskii: I started in 2016 as a developer in crypto startups. But now I’m a more business related guy and working only on business parts. But anyway I have good theft skills 👌

Q2 What contributed to the creation of DefiPie?
Aleksei Kopievskii: Do you like Uber? With Uber you can order car, food and so on. With DeFiPie too. You can do everything that’s required in the DeFi world. We want to make all in one service
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): I see so farming, staking, vault, amm, creating tokens as well?or its across the networks of ETH BSC etc?
Aleksei Kopievskii: Amm not planning for now, but who knows)For now only BSC and ETH. But planning to add more networks
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): haha nice, limitations is definitely not in the crypto dictionary for sure

Q3 Could you give us a brief overview of Defipie?
Aleksei Kopievskii: Sure DeFiPie allows everyone to create lending pools for any assets on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain networks.Users can supply their assets and borrow other assets. Also we’ll have governance in the next 2 month. And for now we have yield farming under the hood

Q4 It seems that the project was started in ETH first, how long ago was that, and what prompt the decision to come to BSC?
Aleksei Kopievskii: We’re starting in August 2020. ETH version live since December 2020 I met with a lot of partners and investors during the Agora event in February in Dubai. Personally talked with Binance Labs. And we discussed the problem with gas on ETH, and Binance Labs partner said to me: “I have a solution for you”. After that we finished migration on BSC mainnet in 2 weeks and now we’re support 2 chains
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): oh wow, time and space plus connections enable ppl to bounce ideas and it all to make a project develop much better too

Aleksei Kopievskii: We’re planning to build cross chain bridge And other networks will be also connected
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): that too bridged to my next question about ETH and BSC chains
Q5 How are the cross chain done with ETH and BSC from an investor point of view? You mentioned it’s a lending platform, is there a need for collateral?
Aleksei Kopievskii: It’s an atomic swap. We have the same total supply on both chains. Once some one swap tokens, they will be blocked on one network and will be available on another networkYes, collateral is needed, since it’s DeFi, there are no other solutions 🙂
Q6 Can anyone create a pool and if they could, will there be any ways to prevent ppl from spamming too many pools ? if not how does DefiPie scrutinise which coins to be listed?
Aleksei Kopievskii: For now anyone can create a pool if the token has proper liquidity on Uniswap or PancakeSwap. Later all decisions will be under community with governance module
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): I’m curious, so does that individual require to have a certain amount of that particular token, in order to create the pool?
Aleksei Kopievskii: Yes. Just make deposit and pay network gas fees 👍
Q7 How is the APY/lending % being calculated? Will this rate be competitive to like big CEX?
Aleksei Kopievskii: Negative APY means that we’re paying for borrowing. That’s happened due to our yield farming module. Our rate is a pure algorithm and I think CEX can’t stay near us in this case as an example. Rates depends on deposits and total borrows
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): I see thats why the negative APY is shown in some of the tokens
Aleksei Kopievskii: It’s yield farming 👍 on DeFiPie
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): Another side question is how does DeFiPie earn its revenue in this case? Will it be jus the spread from borrowing and lending ? or mostly they are from the yield farming that you mentioned
Aleksei Kopievskii: Our revenue model – is collateral liquidation. But anyway this can be held by the community too. Just check our liquidations page
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): great stuff but for consumers liquidation also mean the lending and borrowing isn’t going well too rite
Aleksei Kopievskii: Crypto market is volatile. So, liquidations will always exist
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): that’s true and which is why we always say only invest with what we can afford to lose
Aleksei Kopievskii: Yes. A lot of newbies still do not understand this one
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): that’s very true i have seen people investing money that are meant for rents and daily expenses..thus i am glad we have this space and also ppl of your position to educate everyone in this community and hopefully spread the word further

Q8 Before we drift further from our focus, tell us more about the use case of $PIE? Will there be another token for BSC?
Aleksei Kopievskii: We have $PIE on ETH and BSC networks. The main purpose of the token – governance control.
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): i see will it be used for staking in the future use case?
Aleksei Kopievskii: It’s already used in staking
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): i see so there’s a lot of usecase for the native token
Q9 How are other projects able to collaborate with DefiPie? is it the traditional way of staking and creating a pool?
Aleksei Kopievskii: We’re looking for TVL. Other projects are looking for staking and farming opportunities. It’s a win win strategy. Projects have to make initial deposits and create staking possibilities for their community. When we’re doing liquidity partnership, we’ll continue our work with projects in future
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): a win win situation is definitely attractive between projects and also the exposure of both communities will also be good too
Aleksei Kopievskii: Yes. Like a free marketing
Crypto Shrimp (AMA Host): Talking about marketing, what are in the works for that in DefiPie?
Aleksei Kopievskii: Hmm. We’re preparing a big marketing boost. Really big. But it will take at least 1-2 weeks

Q10 Before I forget, what are the security measures in place, since we are talking about handling of token and money involved. Will there be audits, bounty etc? What has been done in DefiPie?
Aleksei Kopievskii: Better to check our roadmap. We’ve a lot of development activities right now and a lot of other interesting things!
