1. Please give us an introduction to yourself and the team behind Cyball.

My name is Benji, I’m one of the cofounders of CyBall. I’ve been involved in crypto for a few years, and am quite heavily involved in the NFT space atm
Our team is extensive, yet every single person plays an imperative role in the successful development of CyBall.
We have assembled an all-star team of ~30 members including developers, founders, product managers, marketing specialists, artists and passionate individuals to ensure that CyBall is formed to its fullest potential.

2. What is Cyball?
Benji
CyBall is a football (soccer) based game that takes inspiration from a childhood favourite, Pokemon, as well as incorporating similar game and blockchain economy to Axie Infinity. It is a P2E NFT game
At its core CyBall will revolve around CyBloc NFTs where users can collect, trade, mentor and battle in CyBall matches using these CyBlocs.

3. What is a Cybloc and how is it used within your ecosystem?

CyBlocs are the primary NFT characters that will be trained, collected and utilised in the in-game matches. They are essentially Cyborgs that have been born off of the Blockchain, hence the name CyBloc.
You will be able to purchase these NFTs and then train them to form your team to get to the top of the leaderboard in CyBall

4. How do you go about training a CyBloc? Are there different rarity tiers?
Benji
Yeah great question. You will be able to train your CyBlocs in training mode, which is one of the game modes, in training mode, you will be able to train and level up your CyBloc. There is battle stadium, which is PvE, you go in and battle against computer generated teams. Or you can enter Hire-a-coach mode, which will automatically train your CyBloc.
There are 5 classes that a CyBloc could be born into, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Legendary. All increasing in rarity

Would it be possible to train a CyBloc from Bronze to Silver?
Or would it be more like, there are stats that cap out in the Bronze class

Not exactly. Whatever class the CyBloc is born with, that is the class that will stay with the CyBloc.

5. Can you tell us more about your different game modes as well as in-game features that makes CyBall unique?
Benji
CyBall will have 3 PvP modes in total. These are Exhibition, League and Tournament.
In Exhibition Mode, users will be matched against others of similar team’s average overall ratings.
The matchmaking system will ensure that the opponent will be randomly chosen from a pool or available opponents of similar rating, very similar to other games’ MMR (matchmaking rating/ranking) systems.
Because this is automated, it can be considered “ranked” but somewhat hidden; we plan to display teams’ ratings based on the current line-ups users are using r for Exhibition Mode.
In League Mode, there will be matches to play every day / every two days using a round robin format because Leagues run season by season with ladders. At the end of a season the participants will be rewarded based on their ranking on the ladders.
In Tournament Mode, the format may vary across different tournaments depending on the duration and number of participants, just like typical esport tournaments you may have seen.
CyBall NFT Marketplace is our in-house marketplace where users can buy and sell NFT game assets such as CyBlocs, CyPods, Stadiums, and CyBloc body parts and wearables.
CyLoans is an automated guild/scholarship, or rather, an automated in-game character lending/borrowing system. It will allow everyone who has spare CyBlocs to be a Guild (a lender), and everyone who is looking for CyBlocs to play with to be a scholar (borrower).
CyDex is our Decentralised Exchange. Here users will be able to buy, sell and provide liquidity for CyBall’s native tokens: $CBT and $CYB

Yeah correct. CyBall is a play-to-earn game. You will be able to earn rewards by winning matches within PvP mode ( exhibition, league and Tournament). With tournament mode potentially being sponsored by big names, and hence having even bigger rewards.

So before we touch more about your ecosystem, let’s talk a bit more about your tokens
6. What is $CBT and $CYB? How are they used in your ecosystem?

yeah sounds great
CyBloc Battery Token (CBT) is our main play-to-earn token with no fixed supply and will be released together with our game launch. Users can earn CBT by playing the various game modes in our game and can spend CBT on various features such as mentoring, items and upgrades.
CyBall Token (CYB) is our governance token which we currently have no fixed plan to release as we plan to have all eyes focused on our NFT and game release initially. However, we expect CYB to be the value-capturing token that will be given out as staking rewards and special game rewards for certain occasions such as end of league season or tournament prizes.
Both tokens will benefit the users of the game (i.e. gamers or CyBallers) through our Play-to-Earn mechanisms but also through various utilities that we have in place to support the CyBloc universe.

Yeah it is just one quick side question
So say I had multiple spare CyBlocs, would I be able to lend that out to multiple people and potentially profit off that?
What are the incentives for lending and borrowing CyBlocs?
Benji
So CyLoans is a feature of our ecosystem that we have thought about quite extensively to solve a problem that a lot of P2E games are currently facing. And that’s the imbalance between the supply and demand of scholarships ( as we’ve seen for Axie).
this feature simplifies the whole process of finding someone to loan your CyBlocs to, as well as organising the payments that you agree upon.
Yeah that’s correct, you’d be able to enter into the CyLoans function and find someone to loan out your CyBlocs after coming to an agreement on profit sharing

And this agreement is done through smart contracts?

It makes it really easy to find someone and also organise the logistics around the payments. And for someone who doesn’t have the financial capacity to purchase CyBlocs, they can log on and find some to borrow and play with

8. What chains does CyBall currently support? Are there plans to expand out?

So we haven’t launched yet, this is likely to happen at the end of Q4, and we will be launching on BSC. We are also considering most other chains, more notably, Solana and Avax

So would $CBT holders on BSC be getting the same exposure as $CBT that is on other chains?
I guess what I mean to say, are token price uniform across chains?

Yep most definitely. We won’t be looking to expand if we didn’t have the capacity to (liquidity wise)
