Alpaca’s roadmap lays out an ambitious plan with cross-chain as its main channel of growth

Alpaca Finance, one of the top 5 BSC protocols details its strategies and products in its one-year roadmap after a successful run in 2021.
The team outlined their main points of focus before delving deeper into several identified aims they intend to work toward.
Thus, multi-chain is absolutely one of our points of focus, but it’s not a step we want to take haphazardly, especially when we still have many other areas we can innovate in, such as AUSD, play-to-earn gaming, and more. – The team explained via official Medium announcement.
The team identified six high-level goals that are aimed at building value, driving growth, and improving its governance.
In a nutshell, the main goals include product innovation for higher efficiency, building new media segments for high-quality engagements, incentivized loyalty, tapping into a new user base, structured products for institutions, and growing the Alpaca brand as top cross-chain finance and new media conglomerate. One of the major focuses in its roadmap that is scheduled for release in Q4 of 2021 is AUSD, which is Alpaca’s stablecoin. It is currently undergoing its audit and will take a month to complete.
Hitting the Mark in 2021
The team also reviewed its 2021 roadmap that was published on March 16. One of the main goals that the team has set its eyes on is to provide leveraged yield farming platform that is highly composable, customizable, and easy to use. This led to features developed on the Alpaca platform that allows for adjusting positions, partial closing, minimizing trading on closing, adding collateral during Alpaca Guard activation, and other suites of tools that are unique to the Alpaca platform.
The team also focuses on improving the long-term value and utility of its token through deflationary mechanism and partnerships. Having hit most of its goals set for 2021 in mere seven months, the team believes is optimistic that the goals in this roadmap can be achieved.
