CZ: Binance Gets 90% of Revenue from Transaction Fees

The CEO of the world’s largest exchange shared his thoughts via video at a recent tech conference.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao spoke at the TechCrunch Sessions: Crypto 2022 in late November. Zhao appeared for a 30-minute talk, answering questions from TechCrunch’s Senior Reporter, Anita Ramaswamy.

CZ gave his insights into several topics, including Binance’s revenue, the recent FTX collapse, the role of Binance in the future, and how to build a better industry.

At minute 2:20, CZ confirmed to Ramaswamy that Binance relies on transaction fees for over 90% of its revenue, admitting that the percent fluctuates with the price of bitcoin.
